After 3 played minutes SÉ SE got a freekick which was hit by Zalán Ibrahimovic. János Moravecz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg János Moravecz saved SÉ SE from getting behind. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. János Moravecz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, SÉ SE's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wen Bing Liang, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. János Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SÉ SE's János Moravecz. János Moravecz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zalán Ibrahimovic in the 33rd minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind SÉ SE's goalkeeper János Moravecz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Celso Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SÉ SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Sabóia couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but János Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 48th minute of play forced SÉ SE's goalkeeper János Moravecz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. János Moravecz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Attila Pálffy in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zalán Ibrahimovic in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Zalán Ibrahimovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute Wen Bing Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. János Moravecz made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. SÉ SE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Attila Pálffy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
