Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Eric Soned came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 7 played minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Möllgren. Eric Soned didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eric Soned made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Soned. Eric Soned dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jim Njurenius kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's attentive Fabrício Rivarola managed to snatch the ball when Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Radu Fetea. Eric Soned took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Nickolai Nickerson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Nickolai Nickerson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Étoile Sportive Du Sahel made a substitution. Per-Arne Gunnarsson replaced Rei Bolas. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 63rd match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Njurenius to maneuver through the defense. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel made a substitution. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nickolai Nickerson in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valentin Elg who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Ancelotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Soned showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Nickolai Nickerson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Ancelotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador played a much better game than Étoile Sportive Du Sahel and deserved their victory. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
