Inocencio Ruiz Tagle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inocencio Ruiz Tagle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Ruiz Tagle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 36th minute of play forced Mysarnas BK's goalkeeper Inocencio Ruiz Tagle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Mysarnas BK defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Ruiz Tagle. The Mysarnas BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Ruiz Tagle should have stopped the shot. The Mysarnas BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when German Frasquito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Brett, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Mysarnas BK's George Jansson was substituted for Dominik Brett. A nice corner shot did that Jörn Magnusson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Inocencio Ruiz Tagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 85th minute of play. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Inocencio Ruiz Tagle made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Inocencio Ruiz Tagle, 1-6. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 96th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Ruiz Tagle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Gallo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Inocencio Ruiz Tagle when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
