In the 5thth minute of the game Alex Cunea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. After 18 minutes of play, Rasnita's Alex Cunea made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Rasnita's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavius Ferenț quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Flavius Ferenț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Sabin Ştercă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavius Ferenț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Toacsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavius Ferenț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Toacsen in the 62nd minute of the match. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Cunea came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 92 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Flavius Ferenț managed to make a qualified save. Rasnita's players were relieved. 93 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Flavius Ferenț.
