In the 8th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. Sport Club Mavericks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Almeida in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sport Club Mavericks's Dre Schipmans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. The throw-in from Matthew Garrido in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Fernando Lucas. Marcelo Gröhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dre Schipmans scored 2-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Sílvio Luiz de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 40th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zézinho Lopez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 43 minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 3-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Gröhe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Marcelo Gröhe made a huge save. After 61 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Lopez. Sport Club Mavericks's Bater Noppe was substituted for Conrado Sanches. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Zhuo Yin Hong replaced Dre Schipmans. Zézinho Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Fernando Lucas's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. Sport Club Mavericks's Sílvio Luiz de Godoi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jose Carita in the 69 minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Zhuo Yin Hong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Zézinho Lopez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuo Yin Hong in the 87th minute of the match. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Yin Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Gröhe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Jose Carita made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alex Cambeiro however managed to control. Abraham Alguacil's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Gröhe firmly grabbed it by the left post. 97 minutes into the game, Sport Club Mavericks's Zhuo Yin Hong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sport Club Mavericks were victorious despite being under pressure from Panama for much of the match.
