Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Galatasaray's Vladimir Alferov got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Alferov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afşar Uzgoren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Afşar Uzgoren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afşar Uzgoren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Vladimir Alferov kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The throw-in from Luis Andino in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galatasaray's Arkadiusz Wawrukiewicz. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afşar Uzgoren was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimir Alferov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Galatasaray's Afşar Uzgoren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of play. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Afşar Uzgoren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Afşar Uzgoren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Alferov in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedor Ilyin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Afşar Uzgoren made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 73rd minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Afşar Uzgoren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Vladimir Alferov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Afşar Uzgoren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
