In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olofsi IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tyrone Rubayo in the 20th minute. In the 24th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Enegren in the 25th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Enegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Aron Enegren made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Aron Enegren came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Olofsi IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Enegren couldn't finish the play. Aron Enegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Einar Ingvall was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olofsi IF the free kick. In the 88th minute Lars-Erik Friberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the game Camilo Gaos made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. Aron Enegren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olofsi IF's goalie prevented a goal.
