Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Rüegsegger in the 3rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Rüegsegger in the 6th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taha Günden having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hazım Başdoğan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 1-0. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Taha Günden came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eddy Rüegsegger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taha Günden having to interfere. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddy Rüegsegger in the 26th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Rüegsegger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taha Günden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Taha Günden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 34th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Eddy Rüegsegger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Eddy Rüegsegger managed to get in a good position for a shot. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Rüegsegger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Eddy Rüegsegger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eddy Rüegsegger made a kick off. Beyhan Gençoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taha Günden having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Rüegsegger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taha Günden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Gunter Waller made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taha Günden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ziya Aydın hit a great ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Rüegsegger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Gisbert's late challenge caught a ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
