Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The supporters of Mexico booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Quexal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Mikaelsson came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match Kronan got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bror Lundqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Bror Lundqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Kronan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
