Lasse Penttilä made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. After 21 played minutes Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Patryk Kociniewski. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Apostolis Arvanitoyannis sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstanty Orszak in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Brak Gola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 51st minute of play forced Underdogs's goalkeeper Brak Gola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud van Nistelrooij came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lasse Penttilä hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Underdogs's Andrzej Budzyn was substituted for Ruud van Nistelrooij. Underdogs's Kacper Mentus was substituted for Stiff Meister. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Underdogs's goalkeeper Brak Gola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brak Gola was left in no man's land by his defense there!
