In the 5th minute Borys Okopny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brak Gola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monty Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Andrzej Budzyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brak Gola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 12th minute of the match. Brak Gola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Borys Okopny sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Cassius Byrne. Borys Okopny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Borys Okopny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Borys Okopny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brak Gola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 40th minute of the match. Brak Gola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Apostolis Arvanitoyannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, USA's Jenson Smith dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Underdogs made a substitution. Konstanty Orszak replaced Kacper Mentus. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Underdogs's Ruud van Nistelrooij nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Brak Gola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konstanty Orszak hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. The supporters of USA booed when Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstanty Orszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Underdogs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jenson Smith was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Arvanitoyannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes of play, USA's Khalid Parry made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brak Gola was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud van Nistelrooij came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
