Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Lama having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Veth Crystals's Juliusz Januszewski got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Lama saved Veth Crystals from getting behind. Carlos-Armando Valderrama struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Marcos Lama stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwidon Patora's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gwidon Patora in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Patora in the 36th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Song Xing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Song Xing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Patora, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gwidon Patora to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Persson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute Veth Crystals were awarded a corner. Song Xing went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Armando Valderrama in the 55th minute of play. Marcos Lama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos-Armando Valderrama came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Lama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Marcos Lama didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Veth Crystals's Sebastian Wierzchowski was substituted for He Lin Di. In the 76th minute Erik Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Veth Crystals were awarded a corner. Song Xing went to the cornerflag to take it. Gwidon Patora was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Veth Crystals booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Carlos-Armando Valderrama ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Gwidon Patora notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Song Xing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Patora in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Veth Crystals had won after a very even match.
