Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Valdemar Tomasson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Folke Bure didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Valdemar Tomasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Anders Byström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdemar Tomasson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 20 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Folke Bure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Tomasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Bure was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Anders Byström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Ahlbeck in the 33rd minute of the match. When Michael Ahlbeck came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the North Pole Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Ahlbeck couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes in the game, Michael Ahlbeck dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 38th minute, Michael Ahlbeck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-3. 41 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Folke Bure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bure having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Peter Arvidsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Pole Kickers and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to North Pole Kickers getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Peter Arvidsson hit a great ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save North Pole Kickers from getting a goal against them. Folke Bure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Folke Bure in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by North Pole Kickers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Anders Byström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bure having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar Tomasson's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Valdemar Tomasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a rather tough play, North Pole Kickers's Leonardo Forsberg got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Ahlbeck in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Bure made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Valdemar Tomasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than North Pole Kickers throughout the match.
