Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 9 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Marcos Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Lin Di in the 15th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute. Nedas Jameikis thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Marcos Lama, a very annoying self made goal in the 22nd minute which led to 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Carlos-Armando Valderrama sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the game, Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Veth Crystals's Ludomir Radzyminski got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gwidon Patora made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mexico booed when Veth Crystals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliusz Januszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Veth Crystals from getting a goal against them. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Marcos Lama didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 63 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Marcos Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Lama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Patora in the 71st minute of play. Veth Crystals's Sebastian Wierzchowski was substituted for He Lin Di. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marcos Lama to make any attempt to save it. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Patora in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match Veth Crystals got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Song Xing ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Erik Persson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. In the 83rd minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Marcos Lama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Veth Crystals:s goal. Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Gwidon Patora:s penalty.
