Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute, Garth Brough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Brown Haslett. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keylor Navas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 67th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Garth Brough sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Keylor Navas made a huge save. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. After 90 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keylor Navas having to interfere.
