ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 8th minute of play. Erwin Teesing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 9th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Bender kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 15th minute, Hugo Bender left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASC South United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 17 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ricky Schattenberg's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricky Schattenberg helped the player get up and apologised. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Bender in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of ASC South United booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Cees Hermensen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASC South United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cees Hermensen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Noboa during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. ASC South United's Cees Hermensen got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Erwin Teesing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. In the 60th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cees Hermensen in the 61st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Teesing saved ASC South United from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erwin Teesing, 2-1. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cees Hermensen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erwin Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 74th minute of play. Cees Hermensen took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Hugo Bender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ricky Schattenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Bender came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga.
