The audience was convinced that Benny Stolle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benny Stolle. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arian Beqaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 35th minute of play forced Beek City's goalkeeper Arian Beqaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arian Beqaj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Stolle in the 68th minute of play. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Beek City booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Beek City were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
