The corner was taken by Jan-Ove Lindmark in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Sundens BK's Cao Ting Ting nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sundens BK were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan-Ove Lindmark took the corner. After taking down the ball on Sundens BK's corner Jan-Ove Lindmark fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Per Eliasson 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After 19 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Sundens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beven Carmichael hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beven Carmichael during the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Eliasson in the 42nd minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Netto in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per Eliasson to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 minutes of play, Sundens BK's Per Eliasson made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Per Eliasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Sundens BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan-Ove Lindmark in the 58th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jan-Ove Lindmark got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Fernando Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sundens BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sundens BK's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Martinsson came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Per Eliasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72ndth minute of the game Per Eliasson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Sundens BK's Axel Martinsson got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. When Sundens BK's Per Eliasson in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Sundens BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Tomas Illescas scored to the left of an out of position Axel Martinsson, making the score, 4-2. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cao Ting Ting came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
