Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose-Manuel Jauregui in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vetusta's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray De Lauw came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray De Lauw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Ray De Lauw. Vetusta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray De Lauw having to interfere. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Hanot Perdices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Vetusta booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Julian Murillo sped through Vetusta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ray De Lauw. Julian Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ray De Lauw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced Vetusta's goalkeeper Ray De Lauw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Normando Veloso in the 96th minute of the match.
