In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Tempest Team defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Celino. The Tempest Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Celino should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Bolognesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Tempest Team's Donato Santalucia got a free kick in the 12th minute. Anselmo Petroni succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 16th playminute. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Petroni. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tempest Team's goalkeeper Anibal Celino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Tempest Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anibal Celino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 30 minutes into the match, Tempest Team's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Anibal Celino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Celino having to interfere. Anibal Celino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Cavaliere came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Anibal Celino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play forced Tempest Team's goalkeeper Anibal Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 56th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tempest Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Anibal Celino, making the score, 1-4. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Anibal Celino made a huge save. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute of the match Donato Santalucia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Celino having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Anibal Celino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Agustín Saelices slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anibal Celino. That made the score 1-5 after 95 minutes of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
