Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Kubiak in the 7th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Kubiak in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Edmond Kubiak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sébastien Milliot hit a great ball. Danny Pasquier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of play. Danny Pasquier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Djorkaeff came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bilal Moutte fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avel Vat's protests and gave Bilal Moutte a yellow card for diving instead. Bilal Moutte kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 40 minutes of play Avel Vat's Bilal Moutte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 41st match minute, Avel Vat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilal Moutte to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Youri Djorkaeff made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Pasquier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcom Vrignon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 73rd minute, Edmond Kubiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Danny Pasquier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Danny Pasquier came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier. Danny Pasquier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Avel Vat were the better team. Avel Vat's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
