Paulão Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 5th minute of play. Abram Luque charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abram Luque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Branco in the 9th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Barbosa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ricardo Zorita firmly grabbed it by the left post. Joshua Curbelo made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Abram Luque. Paulão Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 18th minute of the match. Paulão Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. 34 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Branco came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Romeu Barbosa led 43 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. El Salvador's Marco Tamayo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Romeu Barbosa, made in the 51st minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Joshua Curbelo in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lakers FC's Oséas Capixaba. Moises Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Paulão Corrêa in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulão Corrêa, 1-1.
