In the 12th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Luca Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aaron Ramsdal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 15 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Ramsdal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Cazalla during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Aaron Ramsdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Traks to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Aaron Ramsdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torbjörn Berg in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torbjörn Berg was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Ramsdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute. Aaron Ramsdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Ramsdal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Juračka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Martin Juračka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Ramsdal saved Elmtaryd Agunnaryd from getting behind. When Elliott Bergman fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's protests and gave Elliott Bergman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Elmtaryd Agunnaryd getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Elliott Bergman hit a great ball. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Mrongowiusz Szczepanowski was substituted for Markus Nordström. In the 92nd match minute, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliott Bergman to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
