Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Emmanuel Reyes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rune Jarstein quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Elenescu in the 13th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo da Silva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 17th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 17th minute of play. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Elenescu in the 27th minute of the match. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moritz Hasenjäger in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Hertha 1969 defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Jarstein. The Hertha 1969 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Jarstein should have stopped the shot. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lüder Roppel in the 42 minute of the game. In the 45th minute Gigel Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Luz Tejedor might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Jarstein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luz Tejedor ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 73rd minute of play. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. 92 minutes into the game, Lüder Roppel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru played a much better game than Hertha 1969 and deserved their victory. The Hertha 1969 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
