Wawrzyniec Rozanski started the match with the kick off. Wladyslaw Siwek came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Mané Garrincha. But to his dismay, Mané Garrincha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wladyslaw Siwek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuliano David in the 7th minute of play. Frank Sten might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wladyslaw Siwek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sten ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes in the game, Mané Garrincha dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Frank Sten scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wladyslaw Siwek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Róbson Donato took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wladyslaw Siwek. Wladyslaw Siwek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Leon Merski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Hieronim Kostrzewa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tequila Sunrise's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villaverde Celeste Clube the free kick. Hieronim Kostrzewa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Mané Garrincha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 22 minutes into the match, Tequila Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sten came free, but Wladyslaw Siwek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladyslaw Siwek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Garrincha, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Frank Sten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wladyslaw Siwek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Wladyslaw Siwek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sten in the 37th minute of the match. Wladyslaw Siwek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sten went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Wladyslaw Siwek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Wladyslaw Siwek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Garrincha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Garrincha to make the kick off. Villaverde Celeste Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
