An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Chelsea's Comunardo Prandini did a great save. After 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Real Chelsea's Comunardo Prandini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Comunardo Prandini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Saelices's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Agustín Saelices put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Comunardo Prandini. Cristian Sancho scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Comunardo Prandini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gus Weir sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Comunardo Prandini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. After 40 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Blomkvist.

Comunardo Prandini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Weir in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Prandini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Chelsea's Tyler Tolley was substituted for Gus Weir. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Daniel Zorita rounded Real Chelsea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
