In the 18th match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Incorvaia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun De Battista to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pankracy Zawacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Fliz's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zawacki having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ildefonso Fliz sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Pankracy Zawacki made a huge save. Ildefonso Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Aron Ghinescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meerkats FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Meerkats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Ahlroth didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Fliz in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Fliz in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shaun De Battista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Ghinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Meerkats FC were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Shaun De Battista took the corner. In the 88thth minute of the game Aron Ghinescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Fliz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
