Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Laffitte having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Elano Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ej. Hermosillo B.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Elano Donatello hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the game Ulises Lesardo made a throw-in which Efraim Bodenschmidt played forward. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Gaur charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Gaur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Gaston Gaur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Christian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ej. Hermosillo B.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Efraim Bodenschmidt hit a great ball. Nicolae Petru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Jose Laffitte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Alegren in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Donatello. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute Luca Espinar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Laffitte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Laffitte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. If Tom Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Laffitte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 73rd minute of the match. Ej. Hermosillo B.C.'s Orvar Alegren got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Elano Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Alegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute of the game Christian Sancho made a throw-in which Sebastian Villa played forward. If Tom Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jose Laffitte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 95th minute.
