Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Farafulla FC's Andriy Shevchenko started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Behçet Alp in the 31st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Alfieri in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Portanares in the 36th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Boni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Farafulla FC's Behçet Alp got a free kick in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behçet Alp. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Angelo Boni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Boni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 45th minute of play. Angelo Boni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Ryan Portanares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryan Portanares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Andriy Shevchenko came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Behçet Alp came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Boni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
