Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Uter, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Rutledge in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Gottfrid Brenner notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Felix Martinsson in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Rutledge took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Martinsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Gottfrid Brenner notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Albert Rutledge put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Rutledge in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Albert Rutledge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albert Rutledge struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA VIOLA. In the 47th minute, Albert Rutledge made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Isak Ahlbeck in the 59 minute of the game. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Rutledge in the 61st minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Martinsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA VIOLA's goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Ove Abrahamsson. Albert Rutledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felix Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Osvald Uter's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Martinsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball.
