Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Lionel Van Den Broek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Sem De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Huveneers in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lionel Van Den Broek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Facundo Cadaval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Joachim Van Der Meren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Frederik Dhondt got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, De Keikoppers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Boegaert to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The De Keikoppers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Lionel Van Den Broek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lionel Van Den Broek was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Wout Leroy hit a great ball. Mexico played a much better game than De Keikoppers and deserved their victory. The De Keikoppers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
