Julio Vera was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Bruno Soveral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Soveral really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Robert Przybylski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petruț Dicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Przybylski, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Meireles in the 23rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Exército Português's Armando Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Meireles in the 27th minute of play. Exército Português's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Robert Przybylski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Robert Przybylski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. Petruț Dicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toro Lindø during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Soveral in the 37th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Exército Português's corner Gustavo Carrasqueira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robert Przybylski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Exército Português's Eliseu Fragoso was substituted for Ian Van Den Driessche. Exército Português made a substitution. Manuel Flores replaced Armando Meireles. Robert Przybylski kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Petruț Dicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Exército Português getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Robert Przybylski hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Flores in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 94 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Carrasqueira who took care of the corner kick. The Exército Português support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
