Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th match minute, Exército Português was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Van Den Driessche to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Dicu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petruț Dicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Carrasqueira in the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Robert Przybylski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Exército Português's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Dicu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Przybylski came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Soveral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Dicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Petruț Dicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Soveral, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Robert Przybylski made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Luca Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Petruț Dicu. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. In the 58th minute Armando Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Meireles in the 61st minute of play. Armando Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Exército Português was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Borges to maneuver through the defense. Petruț Dicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Exército Português booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Exército Português's Petruț Dicu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Lech Trynda. The supporters of Mexico booed when Exército Português was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carvalhais didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Exército Português's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Facundo Cadaval managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Przybylski in the 85th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Exército Português were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustavo Carrasqueira took the corner. In the 89th minute, Bruno Soveral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Petruț Dicu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goalkeeper Petruț Dicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
