If Anselm Kempe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Werderaner 04 Volkssport getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Andi Misenta hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Nestor Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Bob Seebens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werderaner 04 Volkssport fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselm Kempe in the 24th minute. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 33rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Romero having to interfere. After 38 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Keith Harms who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Wladimir Jungwirth heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 40 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. Anselm Kempe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. In the 45th minute, Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Wladimir Jungwirth ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladimir Jungwirth in the 54th minute of the match. Nestor Romero came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladimir Jungwirth in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Benno Schellhase got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 67 in the game by Mariano Lacasa from a close distance when the talented Nestor Romero managed to make a qualified save. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's players were relieved. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Werderaner 04 Volkssport from getting a goal against them. Bob Seebens scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Anselm Kempe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
