But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Pimenta couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Luís Gustavo Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mesere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After 29 played minutes Mesere got a freekick which was hit by Inko Sagrario. Cai Fei Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Mesere's Behe Ruisuarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mesere's Luís Gustavo Pimenta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Pacho Losua got a free kick in the 35th minute. Luís Gustavo Pimentas short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Gustavo Pimenta. When Luís Gustavo Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mesere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Pimenta couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Mesere's Cai Fei Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute of play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cai Fei Cheng. That made the score 4-1 in the 76 minute of play. Mesere made a substitution. Edgard Maya replaced Luís Gustavo Pimenta. Mesere's Mustafa Emrah Vahip was substituted for Hever Almaguer. The supporters of Mesere booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Behe Ruisuarez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 82 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Maya came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Maya in the 86th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mesere had played much better football throughout.
