Paulino Slight was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulino Slight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Paulino Slight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulino Slight having to make a save. A collision led to ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Roland Marti hit a great ball. Paulino Slight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Slight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ismael Nazario Sastre hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulino Slight. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Héctor David Casas charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Héctor David Casas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Héctor David Casas. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ecuador's Luis Andino in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Paulino Slight was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ through an amazing save. Paulino Slight made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Marti to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 67 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Paulino Slight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimír Cavada in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosalio Cavada during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rosalio Cavada hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Salamón Asencio was substituted for Odín Oliva. In the 77th minute, Rosalio Cavada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Paulino Slight in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosalio Cavada in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 94th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
