Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After 4 played minutes Loco Cabezon got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Ieltxu. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Galtero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Loco Cabezon's Leonides Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Leonides Galtero threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 19th minute Enrique Cristofor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Abajas in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jose Eleder who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 24 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Abajas in the 29th minute of play. Leonides Galtero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute. In the 37th minute, Anastasio Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Galtero having to interfere. Leonides Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Anastasio Mendebal hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Leonides Galtero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Loco Cabezon's Leonides Galtero got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Cristofor made a kick off. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Leonides Galtero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Galtero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Galtero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Abajas in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Galtero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Galtero saved Loco Cabezon from getting behind. Leonides Galtero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Jose Eleder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loco Cabezon made a substitution. Albano Alvarez replaced Modesto Boni. 82 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Leonides Galtero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Galtero was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Loco Cabezon's Leonides Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 88th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Galtero having to interfere. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Leonides Galtero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
