The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by ÓKINJÔ FC's Naim Ünal. But to his dismay, Naim Ünal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 55th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naim Ünal in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Sap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute Alexandrino Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
