Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Saelices's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Claudinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 8th minute of play. Gliwicka Torcida's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Taffarel. Gliwicka Torcida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Felix Montenegro got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 15 minutes into the match. Claudinho Taffarel came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Grzegorz Wielowiejski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-3. Claudinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 30th minute of play. When Fabian Bator fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gliwicka Torcida's protests and gave Fabian Bator a yellow card for diving instead. Grzegorz Wielowiejski struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gliwicka Torcida. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Bator to make the kick off. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Luis Andino with Cristian Sancho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gliwicka Torcida's attentive Karol Chrobak managed to snatch the ball when Felix Montenegro made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Gliwicka Torcida's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Taffarel came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudinho Taffarel could save by the left post. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawel Turok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Quique Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 85th minute 肖树鸿 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gliwicka Torcida's Claudinho Taffarel got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinho Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Fabian Bator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
