Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 8 minutes in the game Bogdan Buzea did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Horaţiu Zotincă. Andrei Pavel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Ivan Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Ivan Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Măgură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Zotincă charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horaţiu Zotincă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horaţiu Zotincă hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marius Măgură managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fanaticii's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Măgură was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Eusebiu Oanță hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Eusebiu Oanță in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. FC Fanaticii's Andrei Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Jitaru to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Eusebiu Oanță in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. After 56 minutes of play FC Fanaticii's Horaţiu Zotincă was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Horaţiu Zotincă kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Andrei Pavel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. The supporters of Honduras booed when FC Fanaticii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Oanță didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrei Pavel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ernest Poplăcean hit a great ball. Honduras were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after FC Fanaticii's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmundo Espiga took the corner. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Andrei Pavel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sebastian Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Andrei Pavel made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Marius Măgură managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fanaticii's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Măgură was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Ernest Poplăcean put in a rough tackle. In the 86th minute, one of FC Fanaticii:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Fanaticii. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 88th minute, where Honduras:s Edmundo Espiga tricked FC Fanaticii:s Andrei Pavel with a difficult ball by the left post. In the 91st minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes, FC Fanaticii's Aurelian Enișteanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Fanaticii reached it. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrei Pavel came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmundo Espiga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 95th minute.
