Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Béla Pásztor made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute MALÉV SC were awarded a corner. Koppány Szepesi went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedek Asztalos in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Kálmán Gyarmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kálmán Gyarmati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. The long shot by Koppány Szepesi in the 21st minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. MALÉV SC's Vilmos Solti got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Gyarmati having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati. Kálmán Gyarmati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play forced MALÉV SC's goalkeeper Kálmán Gyarmati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kálmán Gyarmati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilmos Solti during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Camilo Gisbert. After 42 played minutes MALÉV SC got a freekick which was hit by Vilmos Solti. When Daniel Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Daniel Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MALÉV SC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilmos Solti came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. A collision led to MALÉV SC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bálint Molnár hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The MALÉV SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Kálmán Gyarmati made a huge save. Felix Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Koppány Szepesi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 62 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koppány Szepesi who took care of the corner kick. Benedek Asztalos kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ákos Szigeti in the 65th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Koppány Szepesi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 67th match minute, MALÉV SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bálint Molnár to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goalkeeper Kálmán Gyarmati had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MALÉV SC's Tibor Fülöp was substituted for Benedek Asztalos. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Fülöp in the 80th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kálmán Gyarmati made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 82nd minute. MALÉV SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Kálmán Gyarmati, making the score, 1-3. MALÉV SC made a substitution. Géza Veress replaced Epifanio Theobald. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Fülöp came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Bálint Molnár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes MALÉV SC got a freekick which was hit by Vilmos Solti. 96 minutes into the match, Béla Pásztor notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MALÉV SC.
