With a left leg Esteban José Andrada saved Guansa from getting behind. 5 minutes into the match, Guansa's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Esteban José Andrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Guansa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Guansa's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Guansa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Sandalio. A collision led to Guansa getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Anselmo Txilar hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Esteban José Andrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Esteban José Andrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban José Andrada having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Esteban José Andrada. Guansa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Sandalio. Esteban José Andrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esteban José Andrada. Esteban José Andrada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Aznar in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Eloy Aznar made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Eloy Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guansa's Esteban José Andrada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Guansa from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute of the match Guansa got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eloy Aznar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Esteban José Andrada was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 79 minute of play. Yuan Lin Shi lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 82nd minute, one of Guansa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guansa. 88 minutes into the match, Guansa's goalkeeper Esteban José Andrada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Aaron Sandalio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Guansa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
