Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Călin Bolborici in the 14th minute. Radu Tarchilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When SuperDepor's Iustinian Comăneci in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 31 played minutes, SuperDepor's Rareș Elian shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thiago Pliego came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SuperDepor reached it. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Bolborici in the 34th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Comăneci in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Radu Tarchilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radu Tarchilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of play forced SuperDepor's goalkeeper Radu Tarchilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by SuperDepor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Radu Tarchilă when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Orlando Casaus succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 69th playminute. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Comăneci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radu Tarchilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Anghel in the 79th minute of play. SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save SuperDepor from getting a goal against them. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
