Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 2nd minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. But to his dismay, Edward Mcdonald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avram Elenescu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cătălin Arjoca hit a great ball. Gheorghe Baldovin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Leonard Aanuţei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Balaban in the 54th minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 55th minute of play. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 59th minute of play. Traian Balaban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Brown didn't get a good kick on the ball. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. After a rather tough play, USA's Fabian Brown got a free kick in the 69th minute. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Avram Elenescu sent off a good shot on target. Gheorghe Baldovin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
