The Canada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Vintilă Stoicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Filip Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canada played a much better game than FC Buzău and deserved their victory. The FC Buzău players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
