Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 8th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Maciej Gollob sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Gollob in the 14th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Maciej Gollob sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 25 minutes in the game Maciej Haskiewicz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cyryl Glapiak. 29 minutes into the game, Phoenix's Maciej Gollob nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Phoenix's Roman Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Gollob, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobiasz Kaszubowski in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Secada to maneuver through the defense. If Tobiasz Kaszubowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Phoenix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maciej Gollob made a kick off. A collision led to Phoenix getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Czeslaw Bochynski hit a great ball. Phoenix's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maciej Gollob in the 58th minute. A nice corner shot did that Maciej Gollob got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maciej Gollob. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Roman Golob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Gollob in the 64th minute of play. Maciej Haskiewicz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Iwo Mios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maciej Gollob's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Maciej Gollob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phoenix the free kick. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Maciej Gollob might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maciej Gollob ran back to his position shaking his head. Maciej Gollob's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Bartlomiej Andrychowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Golob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Phoenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Glapiak didn't get a good kick on the ball.
