Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Klimkiewicz having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Klimkiewicz having to interfere. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olivér Miklós, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Outsiders's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Klimkiewicz came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Ronaldinho Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Outsiders booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Ronaldinho Paulista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. After 40 minutes, Pál Bíró mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Outsiders and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. FC Outsiders's Olivér Miklós got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Outsiders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Olivér Miklós's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivér Miklós helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Outsiders's Olivér Miklós got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Pankracy Klimkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Pál Bollobás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Paulista in the 62nd minute. Aćim Ajdarić kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute of play forced FC Outsiders's goalkeeper Pankracy Klimkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho Paulista in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ecuador's much stronger midfield.
