Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Quentin Gonzalez started the match with the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Zarando Lastras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo de Queiroz in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Hidalgo in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Maravilla's goalie prevented a goal. In the 43rd minute Dionisio Hidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Hidalgo in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zarando Lastras narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 50th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zarando Lastras could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes, Atlético Maravilla's Anders Söderlund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Maravilla reached it. With a little luck, Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zarando Lastras saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 72 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Atlético Maravilla's Shawn Seracino Inglott was substituted for Dionisio Hidalgo. The supporters of Atlético Maravilla booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Seracino Inglott in the 74th minute of the match. Zarando Lastras made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo de Queiroz in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Zarando Lastras. Atlético Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Zarando Lastras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarando Lastras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the game, Shawn Seracino Inglott cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
