Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the LKS Wasik Lidzbark defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Topolski. The LKS Wasik Lidzbark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Topolski should have stopped the shot. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Filip Topolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for LKS Wasik Lidzbark. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 59th minute of play forced LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goalkeeper Filip Topolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
