Teofil Trela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that FC Pogipool Olsztyn's Teofil Trela managed to reach the ball for a save. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pogipool Olsztyn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Zula Erland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofil Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Teofil Trela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Pogipool Olsztyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zula Erland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pimarn Emam charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pimarn Emam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pimarn Emam kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jerónimo Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Pogipool Olsztyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerónimo Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Teofil Trela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofil Trela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, FC Pogipool Olsztyn's Aquiles Erlantz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pogipool Olsztyn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teofil Trela. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Erlantz in the 76th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jiang Lang Kun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teofil Trela could save by the left post. After 90 played minutes FC Pogipool Olsztyn got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Lang Kun. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes, Aquiles Erlantz made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
